Adding an event (your shift, a shift you're covering for someone else) from the AskA Trades Calendar to your Outlook Desktop calendar is almost the same as editing the AskA Trades Calendar.

First, click on Edit the AskA Trades Calendar in the Ask A Librarian LibGuide.

Next, click on the event you would like to add to your Outlook Desktop calendar.

Clicking on the event will take you to the Modify Event screen. In the Modify Event screen, click on the calendar icon next to the Event URL field. If you hover over the calendar icon with your mouse cursor, the words "Add to Calendar using iCal" will appear.

When you click on the calendar icon, a popup will ask you to open the event in Outlook Desktop or save the event. Choose to open the event in Outlook Desktop. When it opens, you can modify it directly in Outlook Desktop and save it to your calendar.

And that's it! You have now added an AskA shift to your Outlook calendar!
