Suggested OneSearch and a Google search restricted to just edu websites. Both were excellent. From the latter I learned of a 2001 dissertation that was turned into a book owned by 60 libraries, which he could get if needed on ILL. Found 4 relevant dissertations and sent him their abstracts, along with the links that would allow him to read the whole thing.
